The Barn at Walnut Drive’s cozy, yet modern farmhouse aesthetic inspired this shoot’s elegant modern decor. Soft blues and sage are accompanied by organic textures and gold. First seen in the stationery created by Scarlet Gilia Creative, elegant floral line work is paired with modern arches. Hints of black are noticed throughout the table setting, from Borrow Curated’s Arlo chairs, to the modern candlestick holders, to even in the floral arrangements’ anemones created by Staple and Layer. The place settings exude elegance with a touch of modern. Featured are Staple and Layer’s simplistic gold and white vintage dinnerware collection and gold flatware, beautifully paired with crystal goblets, and a modern arch menu and place card. The greenery sprig and knotted blue napkin, along with the flowing table runner, add texture and movement to Borrow Curated’s signature farmhouse table.
It isn’t a celebration without a bit of cake and prosecco! Set adjacent to the bar, the wine barrel serves as a pedestal to Pearl’s Cakery’s three-tier masterpiece. Once Pearl arrived, she got to work piping buttercream and using florals provided by Staple and Layer to add the finishing touches to her beautifully modern cake. Placed upon the flowing Georgette fabric provided by Lendable Linens, the vignette was finished off with a vintage ice bucket and six vintage coup glasses complete with a bottle of Freixenet! The pair of semi-arch signs, created by Scarlet Gilia Creative, placed to the left of the cake, add the perfect personal touch and modern aesthetic to what was an elegant farmhouse scene.
A wedding isn’t complete without a cozy spot to enjoy good company and drinks. Borrow Curated’s Betty Sofa, Peacock Chair, and Linen Settee are the stars of this lounge setting. The Michelle coffee table ties in just the right amount of gold and elegance paired with a blue pattern rug for texture. After helping to set the perfect table, Britney of Staple and Layer worked her magic on the Peacock chair! One by one, she threaded and placed each sprig of greenery. This unique arrangement goes beyond tabletop florals and allows more room for cupcakes, drinks, and conversation! Speaking of cupcakes, the day was not complete without Pearl’s delicious buttercream-topped cupcakes accompanied by Staple and Layer’s vintage dinnerware and later devoured by the team!
Set up for the shoot began with the delivery of large furniture items by the Borrow Curated team! Sam Simko of Willa Weddings and Events arrived the next day to begin decor. She created the perfect puddles with the white Georgette runners and after met with Katelyn of Mane Chic for on-site hair and makeup! Afterwards, Bree of Sherr Weddings, Pearl of Pearl’s Cakery, and Britney of Staple and Layer worked as a team to set the perfect scene! Once the last taper was lit, Bree began to flawlessly document the three vignettes and stationery suite. Her airy and natural light photography style is the perfect complement to the barn’s white interior and the shoot’s soft hues and textures!
