Spring colors and the natural look of the vineyard were the decor inspiration. Hues of purples and greens were the main colors, and we added in grapevine, corks, and flowers that had lighter tones. Since the shoot was to take place outside, we wanted a bit of a rustic feel. For the focal point at the ceremony site, the swing was custom made. The week before the styled photo session was to happen, Dayton and the surrounding areas were hit with a massive amount of tornadoes that destroyed so much. Luckily the vineyard had only suffered a few broken branches off some of the trees on the property. That week, it rained and stormed almost every day. However, the day of the shoot was absolutely gorgeous.
Set up was fairly easy. Erin Walker (hair stylist) and Adele Durrum (makeup artist) helped get Sara and Rachel ready, while the decor was being finished. The candles were lit as Aria Pittman of Pizzelle Photography, Brenda Pottinger of Pottinger Photography, and Michael Flack of Flack Productions began documenting the decor and the couple.
